Great Basin National Park
Great Basin National Park is located in east-central Nevada outside the town of Baker. It was created in 1986 and covers 77,000 acres ranging from 5,000' on the desert floor to 13,064' on Wheeler Peak, the second tallest peak in Nevada.

Red Rock Canyon
Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is located 20 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip on Highway 159 | Charleston Blvd. It spans nearly 200,000 acres of colorful sandstone formations, rugged canyons, open desert and lush spring-fed corridors. This unique corner of the Mojave Desert supports 9 distinct plant communities and a wide range of wildlife that includes desert bighorn sheep, kit fox, burrowing owls, wild horses and mountain lion. Recreational opportunities include 60 miles of hiking trails, a 13 mile scenic driving / biking loop and 2,000+ designated climbing routes.
